Questions and Answers For A Slumber / Sleepover Theme Party!
What are some good DIY sleepover party favors? We think that DIY lip balms (se video below for fun ideas), sugar scrubs, lip scrubs & body scrubs make great favors. The other things are bath bombs (below is a fun video tutorial) along with DIY soaps. All of these things are super easy to make at home and you can bundle the together into a basket or you can give them on there own. You could also have each party guest make their own (use this as a slumber party activity) and then they can take home their creations. It is a fun idea to set up different stations to make a few different things (lip balm, soap, bath bombs, etc.). If you are really crafty you make DIY pillows as a favor or sleep masks. Another idea if you can sew is to make each guest their own pajamas and/or embroidered towels (personalized with each girls or boys name). It’s always fun to DIY party favors as that way each party goer goes home with a unique and homemade gift. You could also have everyone make their own DIY favor bag or goodie bag to put all their creations in once done.

What do your recommend for sleepover party supplies? This can vary based on what you want to do at the party but the standard plates, cups, napkins and don’t forget the invitations. Now depending on how elaborate or detailed you want the party to be – you can set up stations for activites as mentioned above and/or you can set up stations for each guest to have nails, makeup, manicure and pedicure. So if you go this route you would need nail polish, makeup, nail files etc. you could also get robes for everyone along with slippers. Of course you will want snacks and party food – some good ideas would be popcorn, crackers, cookies, candy, finger foods & pizza. For the morning mini boxes of cereal, mini donuts or Krispy Kreme (if you have one near you). A waffle bar is always a hit too! So to recap your standard supplies & you could include balloons and streams then depending on what you want to do at the party will then include the rest of the party supplies for your sleepover party.
Do you have any ideas for slumber party decorations? Balloons and streamers are the standard. Mason jars make great ways to hold straws, silverware etc. Slumber party tents are one of my favorite decor ideas. You can DIY slumber party tents and each guest would have their own sleep space. Handmade and DIY decorations are always great as you have unique, creative and fun things to display at the party. You can decorate a snack table, activity table, cake table, etc. Another great idea is a sundae bar – you would need ice cream bowls or cones and then all the toppings – this is great way to decorate and also have a fun things for the kids to eat. For the morning you can create a waffle or donut bar.
Any fun sleepover party games you can think of? Scavenger hunts are always a big hit. Blind makeoves – where someone is blindfolded and they do anothers makeup. Spin the nail polish bottle – where you spin the wheel and when it lands on a person they have to paint 1 nail the color the spinner had select – continue til each guest has crazy nails. Talent shows and karaoke along with dance parties are always fun. Anything spa related is always a good idea too!
Can you provide sleepover ideas for 10 year olds and 11 year olds? Makeovers, manicures, pedicures are great ideas. Having them make their own lip balms, bath bombs etc is always fun. Treasure hunts or scavenger hunts work great for this age group. Photo booths are a big hit with this age group – you can buy or make fun photo props like these.
